N.W.A. - Straight Outta ComptonThe Movie coming out this summer

I have never been a big fan of gangster rap. In my opinion only a few rappers can write a gangster rap song that will have a direction, a story, an authentic energy. Perhaps the second rapper that I could listen to while he is rapping about guns, drugs and money after 2 Pac was Ice Cube. 
And the first thing I did when I start digging his music was to go back and check where he started. That's how I discovered N.W.A..
It's strange how their music was viewed as a trend, a ghetto trend among urban kids who found a voice that embodies their rebellious views. Today I guess, their music is seen for what it really was, for its true value, socially, culturally and musically. 
The trailer is more than promising, so from now I know what I am doing on the 14th of August this year, buying a ticket and watching the movie about one of the most influential rap groups.
